Nutrition Coaching in London
Practical coaching on how much you eat, how much protein you get and how the eating fits a working week, set up alongside the training rather than handed over as a separate diet sheet.
The short answer
What a nutrition coach does
Nutrition coaching here is the eating side of a training block, set against your maintenance level and reviewed as the block runs. It covers three things that decide most outcomes: total energy intake, daily protein, and whether the plan survives client lunches, late finishes and a social life. Everything else is detail by comparison.
The approach is deliberately unglamorous. There is no elimination protocol, no supplement stack and no meal plan you are expected to follow to the gram. You get a target range, a protein floor, and a way of building meals that gets you there from the food you already eat, then it is corrected every few weeks against what your weight and measurements actually did.
This is coaching, and it has a boundary. It is not dietetics and it does not manage medical conditions. Where a clinical need is in play, from a diagnosed condition to a history of disordered eating, the right next step is a registered dietitian or your GP, and you will be told that rather than coached around it.
What you get
What nutrition coaching in London includes
- An energy target set against your own maintenance level, then corrected against what actually happens to your weight
- A daily protein floor, which is the single lever that most protects muscle while you are losing fat
- Meal structure built from food you already eat, rather than a plan that assumes you cook every night
- A workable approach to eating out, drinking and travel, because a plan that ignores them gets abandoned
- Review points on a fixed cadence, so a stall gets diagnosed instead of waited out
- Coordinated with your training block, so intake and training load move together
How it works
What to expect through the block
Getting started
Log what you eat and drink honestly for three to five days before the first session, including weekends, and note your usual working pattern and how often you eat out. Bring any allergies, intolerances or medication. Nothing is changed before that picture exists.
During your sessions
After your sessions
Targets are reviewed on a fixed cadence against your weight trend and measurements rather than adjusted week to week on impulse. Between reviews you keep a light log so a stall can be diagnosed against real information. Intake is re-set whenever training load or body weight moves meaningfully.

FAQ
Nutrition coaching in London
FAQs
What does a nutrition coach actually do?
Sets an energy target and a protein floor against your own maintenance level, turns those into meals you will realistically eat, and then corrects both as your weight and measurements move. The work is mostly structure and review rather than novel information, which is usually what has been missing.
Do I have to weigh and track my food?
For the first few weeks, some form of tracking makes the difference between guessing and knowing. After that most people move to a lighter approach built around repeatable meals and a protein floor. If tracking is a poor fit for you, say so early and the plan is built without it.
Is this the same as seeing a dietitian?
No. This is non-clinical coaching on energy intake, protein and habits for people who want to change their body composition. A registered dietitian is the right professional for managing a diagnosed medical condition through diet, and you will be referred if that is what is needed.
Will I be told to cut out food groups?
No. Elimination is rarely the lever that matters and it makes a plan harder to hold. The approach works on total intake, protein and consistency, keeping the food you actually like in the plan. Genuine allergies and intolerances are worked around as a matter of course.
What about supplements?
They are a small part of the picture and they are not sold here. Where something is worth discussing, protein powder as a convenient way to hit a target being the obvious example, it is discussed as an option. No protocol is prescribed and nothing is dispensed.
