1-2-1 Personal Training in London
Coached 1-2-1 training across four private London clubs, programmed as a block with a defined start, a defined end and body composition as the thing it is judged on.
The short answer
What 1-2-1 personal training involves
1-2-1 personal training here means one coach, one plan and one goal at a time, delivered in person at whichever of the four clubs fits your week. Every session is programmed in advance and adjusted on the day: load moves when you have earned it, technique is corrected inside the set, and the plan bends around how you actually turned up rather than what the spreadsheet expected.
The work is organised in blocks rather than sold as open-ended sessions. A block opens with an assessment that establishes where you are, runs through phases that build capacity and then load, and is reviewed as it goes so the programme tracks your body instead of a calendar. Strength training anchors it whatever the goal, because holding muscle is what separates getting leaner from simply getting smaller.
Sessions run at UNTIL Soho, Liverpool Street, Marylebone or Canary Wharf. Being able to move between four central London clubs is the practical difference for people whose week does not always start and end in the same postcode.
What you get
What personal training in London includes
- One coach and one plan, built around your training history, your schedule and one priority goal
- Coaching inside the set on technique, effort and intent, rather than a programme handed over and left
- Strength, muscle and fat loss programmed together, so the block compounds instead of pulling in three directions
- Progress judged on body composition, strength numbers and how clothes fit, rather than on daily scale weight
- Practical nutrition guidance set up alongside the training from the first week
- Four central London clubs to train from: Soho, Liverpool Street, Marylebone and Canary Wharf
How it works
What to expect from your sessions
Getting started
Wear clothing you can lift in and flat-soled shoes. Before the first session, note any current or past injuries, any medication you take, and how your week actually runs, so the assessment maps real constraints rather than ideal ones. Avoid a heavy meal in the hour beforehand.
During your sessions
After your sessions
Each session closes with what to log and what to watch before the next one. Progress is reviewed on a fixed cadence across the block rather than chased session to session, and training load, protein intake and sleep are revisited together whenever the numbers stop moving.

FAQ
Personal training in London
FAQs
Where do sessions take place?
At one of four private clubs in central London: UNTIL Soho on Charing Cross Road, UNTIL Liverpool Street on Bishopsgate, UNTIL Marylebone on Orchard Street, and UNTIL Canary Wharf on South Colonnade. You train at whichever suits your week, and access is arranged as part of setting up your block.
How much does personal training in London cost?
Rates are set by the individual coach and depend on session length and the size of the block, so no single figure would be honest here. Current rates are confirmed on enquiry, in writing, before you commit to anything. The block structure and what it includes are agreed at the same time.
How many times a week should I train?
Two to three coached strength sessions a week is the range that returns most for the time invested for most people. The right number depends on your goal, your recovery and what your week genuinely allows. It is agreed at the start so the plan is one you can actually hold for twelve weeks.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. The starting point is wherever you are, and a good share of people arrive after a long gap from training. The first session establishes your current capacity and the programme is written from there, rather than against a standard you are expected to already meet.
Can I switch between clubs?
Yes, and it is one of the reasons people choose this over a single-site studio. Your programme travels with you, and sessions can be arranged at whichever of the four clubs fits a given week. Equipment differs slightly between sites and the programme accounts for that.
What happens if I miss a week?
The block absorbs it. Travel, illness and work weeks that get away from you are expected rather than treated as failure, and the programme is adjusted when you come back rather than resumed as though nothing happened. Consistency across twelve weeks is what matters, not an unbroken run.
